How to Register for Laymans from Verification Email

1. Introduction
Welcome back! I'm guessing you just got your verification email like I did. Great! You're now seconds away from using America's best legal research platform for free.
2. Click "Let's confirm my email address and get started!"
Click the "magic link" in the email or text you received and it will navigate you back to the app
3. We'll come back to encryption
When you come back to Laymans while logged in the first thing you will see is the "Encryption Wizard." Laymans is a secure and confidential legal research platform, so we are "end-to-end" encrypted. Only you and your representatives will know what you're researching.
4. Lets close the Encryption Dialog for now
Once you set this up you can access the many FREE and member-only features like AI and bookmarking, for now you can close this.
5. Now we can finish our account
Great, we're ready to finish. Set a display name and tag line and click submit. You must have a display name to share in the more social elements of Laymans like commenting on articles and asking questions. Make sure you pick something anonymous to secure your research and work!
6. Put in an anonymous display name.
You can always change your display name by navigating to Laymans in the Power Bar, then to account, and then edit Profile. If you were registered by an invite link you will find that you already have a display name there!

Your Tag Line is the way other Lay People are introduced to you.

Click finish to add your new tagline and display to your account and now you will be ready to move mountains.

When you finish your profile, you will find a quick interface to start following some legal organizations. Laymans, is a networking platform for all legal strategizers and organizers regardless of their background. Identify some legal organizations you already support and follow them to stay up to date with their political actions, news, and any class actions you could join!
